Your Role

MIRA Safety is seeking a results-driven, hands-on Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our executive leadership team. As COO, you will lead and oversee the daily operations of the company, ensuring seamless execution of strategic initiatives, operational excellence, and cross-functional alignment. This role requires a tactical leader with strong business acumen, capable of scaling operations, optimizing internal processes, and driving efficiency across all departments. You will work closely with the CEO and other senior leaders to support MIRA Safety’s rapid growth in the tactical and CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear) equipment industry.


What You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Collaborate with the CEO to refine and execute the company’s long-term vision, mission, and strategic goals.
     
  • Oversee all core operational functions, including Human Resources, Finance, supply chain, logistics, compliance, customer service, and IT.
     
  • Build scalable systems and processes that support continued growth, team development, and operational excellence.
     
  • Provide direct leadership to HR, ensuring talent acquisition, retention, culture, compliance, and employee engagement are aligned with company goals.
     
  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis; ensure accurate reporting, cost control, and strategic financial decisions.
     
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational success, productivity, and profitability.
     
  • Identify and implement strategic growth opportunities and process improvements across all departments.
     
  • Strengthen and manage relationships with vendors, financial institutions, partners, and other key stakeholders.
     
  • Ensure the organization complies with all regulatory and legal requirements, with a focus on risk mitigation and quality assurance.
     
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing cross-functional leadership team to support company-wide collaboration and accountability.
     
  • Promote and safeguard MIRA Safety’s brand, values, and reputation through ethical leadership and disciplined execution.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred).
     
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations, including direct oversight of HR and Finance.
     
  • Proven track record in executive-level operational roles, preferably as COO, VP of Operations, or General Manager.
     
  • Deep knowledge of business functions including budgeting, financial reporting, HR strategy, compliance, and organizational development.
     
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and manage cross-functional teams.
     
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change, improve processes, and scale operations in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the CBRN, tactical gear, defense, or security industries. 
  • Experience in the CBRN, tactical gear, defense, or security industries is preferred. At a minimum, a strong interest in tactical gear, outdoor activities, or related fields is expected.
  • Prior leadership experience in operations, ideally with exposure to manufacturing or related industries, is highly desirable.
  • Military or law enforcement background strongly preferred; veterans encouraged to apply (please include DD-214 or statement of service).
  • Familiarity with the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS).
  • Passion for preparedness, tactical innovation, and mission-driven work.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%
