Position Summary
MIRA Safety is seeking a highly organized and execution-focused Operations Manager to oversee daily operational activities across quality, inventory, fulfillment, supply chain, and manufacturing functions. The Operations Manager ensures processes run efficiently, teams stay aligned, and operational standards are consistently met.
This role works closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to improve workflows, maintain compliance, and support scalable operational execution.
Key Responsibilities
Optimize production, drive continuous improvement, and maintain high quality standards across the assembly line.
Ensure conformance to quality standards with parts suppliers and manufacturing partners (PPAP).
Manage supply chain and fulfillment operations at our warehouse, Amazon, and 3PL partners, ensuring on-time delivery and streamlined processes.
Develop demand forecasts and align supply chain operations to dynamic market conditions.
Streamline warehouse processes and systems (WMS overhaul, logistics applications, RFID implementation) to increase efficiency and inventory accuracy.
Coordinate with finished goods suppliers and vendors to meet market demand.
Provide leadership and oversight of operations staff, including coaching, accountability, and performance support.
Monitor operational workflows, quickly resolving bottlenecks or process issues.
Maintain quality and compliance standards aligned with NIOSH requirements.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Develop business intelligence tools to track and report operational KPIs on productivity, fulfillment accuracy, quality, and cost control.
Partner with HR on hiring, onboarding, compliance, and team development initiatives.
Ensure operational activities comply with company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Competencies & Skills
Experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Management Systems, and 6 Sigma.
Knowledge of manufacturing and LEAN methodologies.
Hands-on operations and supply chain management experience.
Familiarity with WMS, 3PL, fulfillment workflows, or logistics environments.
Understanding of compliance standards such as OSHA and NIOSH preferred.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking ability.
Data-driven mindset with experience tracking KPIs.
Effective communicator with team leadership experience.
Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Oversee departmental managers and leads across supply chain, logistics, compliance, customer service, and IT.
Work Environment
Primarily office and light assembly environment at MIRA Safety’s Cedar Park headquarters.
Frequent interaction with operational facilities, including warehouse and production areas.
Occasional exposure to moderate noise and standard manufacturing conditions.
Physical Demands
Occasional standing, bending, or lifting up to 25 lbs.
Regular on-site mobility to oversee departments and processes.
Work Schedule
Full-time, typically Monday through Friday.
Additional hours may be required during critical projects or operational escalations.
Travel Requirements
Occasional domestic travel (up to 10%) for supplier visits, trade shows, and interdepartmental coordination.
Education & Experience Requirements
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
6+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations, supply chain, manufacturing, or quality management.
Proven success in building and scaling operational systems and cross-functional teams.
Preferred:
Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent).
Experience in CBRN, tactical gear, defense, or security industries.
Background in manufacturing and/or marketing operations.
Familiarity with the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS).
